I have always had a keen interest in travelling from my first backpacking trip when I was 18. Since then I have been fortunate to have visited over 50 more countries through a combination of day trips, long weekends, organised group trips and two further backpacking adventures, bringing my total to 74 countries.
Through my travelling adventures I have had so many wonderful experiences… I have been charged by an African elephant in the wild, been on a bus hijacked by drug traffickers, witnessed England’s World Cup departure at the semi-final stage, and tear gassed in France to name but a few. Here I give an insight to some of my more recent and favourite trips and hopefully provide some useful advice and new suggestions for locations or trip types for anyone that might stumble across this site.
I made this site primarily to learn a new skill and to share my adventures with my family (we have a rather fierce but good natured competition to see who visits the most countries.. this led to my uncle booking a Balkans cruise in order to tick off a few new countries). Although this may sound like country ticking for the sake of it, I myself have a long list of countries that I would love to visit, so for now I am slowly working my way through the list and of course trying to re-visit some of my favourite spots (SEA) and events (Songkran).
Welcome to my journey…
